Billet-Doux the wordsmith of Canterlot. Billet-Doux works with Gleaming Heart at his matchmaking company as a freelance writer specializing in love letters. When Gleam finds a match he interviews each pony and creates the best love letter based on what the ponies tell him. His work slogan "My words make your heart soar" (cheesy but Gleam helped)

Personality: A bit grumpy and sarcastic at times, he's really just an aloof pony.
Faults: Sees talking as being a chore and it takes a while to get a response from him. A bit passive aggressive to those who do him wrong (*cough* Gleaming) 

Likes: Peaceful environments, reading, writing and the color blue 

Hates: Colts that hit on him, ponies not being able to pronounce his name correctly when they read it.

Because of his coloring he is often confused for a mare and gets hit on constantly by other colts much to his chagrin. His friend Gleaming Heart has noticed this and will never pass up a chance to tease him about it, especially when they are walking together and ponies assume Billet-Doux is his marefriend and Gleam just goes with it. Gleam and him are best friends even with the whole teasing thing and live together. During a vacation to a small town in the country Billet-Doux and Gleam meet Frost Wave. Gleam then said that Billet-Doux and her were meant to be matched so he and Frost became friends and he quickly grew to like her quite demeanor and sweet smile (and various shades of blue). But right when he has in the middle of trying to move their relationship to the next level Gleam told him he was mistaken in his match and that she was supposed to be matched up with him. Billet-Doux did not believe him for a while but after she continually miss read his intentions of moving their relationship he decided to give up and introduced her to Gleam while staying friends with both of them. He still has feelings for her though and is a bit peeved at Gleam's false telling. So for now he is now focusing on his writing, goading Gleam because he knows Frost talks to him more and avoiding Leaf Twirler ever since he figured out her secret she has been on the look out to find a way to get rid of him but seeing as his friends are in no present danger he is in no rush to out her.

Billet Doux cutie mark story

Billet Doux went to the same school as Gleam, even as a foal he was confused for a filly and would receive a lot of love letters most of which he would throw away but when he would get one while in Gleam’s presence he would be forced to read it with him. It was after reading several of these notes that he realized how bad they were. Complaining to Gleam about how not only was it annoying to receive the letters it was even more annoying that they were so poorly written. So Gleam challenged him to write a better one. Billet Doux said he would need inspiration to write one since he did not like anyone because the fillies also though he was female. So Gleam told him to write it for his crush, Gleam went on to describe his crush to Billet Doux and after changing the words to be more poetic and more eloquent he closed up the pink letter adding a heart sticker to it and gave it to Gleam. He then ran off and gave it to his crush and she was so flattered by the way that the letter described her that she fell for Gleam, watching from afar Billet Doux realized how his words could affect someone and send their heart soaring it was then he received his cutie mark.

Relationships
Gleaming Heart: Even though he constantly ask why they are friends he likes him more than he lets on. 
Leaf Twirler: They do NOT get along but their dislike for each other is not public.
Star Bright and Star Light: They annoy him from time to time but is silently grateful for the few times they place him and Frost together. Is better friends with Star Light
Frost Wave: He likes her secretly but is slowly planning on losing his feelings for her (its for the best he says).
